Routine Exams

Routine examinations check your pet’s general health and well-being as well as screen for possible life-threatening conditions. Diagnosing problem issues before they become serious health problems can help your pet live a longer, healthier life. Pets should have a routine exam at least once each year. Routine exams should include evaluation of your pet’s 12 different systems of bodily function to rule out any abnormalities. Vaccination records should be checked and updated at this time. The doctor should also discuss any behavior or dietary issues that the pet may have. Lab work is also recommended in order to detect any problems that may not be outwardly apparent.
